First Edition

Essential guidance on the Personal Insolvency Acts in Ireland.

The Personal Insolvency Act 2012 introduced a new and much-needed change to Irish insolvency law. The Law of Personal Insolvency provides, for the first time, a definitive consideration of both the Personal Insolvency Acts 2012 to 2021 and the significant body of case law in this area. It offers an in-depth understanding of this developing field of law.

This book examines how this complex and detailed legislation has been interpreted by the courts over the past decade. It is the first comprehensive examination of this new frontier in Irish Law, and provides practical, procedural knowledge alongside detailed commentary and consideration of the growing body of jurisprudence.

Invaluable for legal practitioners, personal insolvency practitioners, and anyone dealing with personal debt matters, this new text covers the entirety of the Personal Insolvency Acts and their integration into the Irish legal landscape.
